A couple of weeks ago I opened the curtains only to stand eye to eye with a deer - a doe, with huge dark eyes and lovely slender feminine body. Bliss, the wonderful encounters with nature you come upon when you live in the countryside of the Scottish Highlands. The I saw the animal had the last of my powder-pink New Dawn roses in her mouth. She looked at me while chewing and then turned her interest to my geraniums. The witch!This is my stalker, although I doubt he could help me in my deer-trouble. Mr McDermit has bought all the gear and is determined to be successful in the art of stalking after accepting an invitation from his boss to come up to the Highlands in the search of the perfect Royal Stag. Mr McDermit is cold and wet but he has just caught a glimpse of some antlers over a heather hill and is slowly making his way there....
